While residents in Cecil County and throughout the state are taking precautions to safeguard themselves against COVID-19, some people are stealing or attempting to steal money through coronavirus-based scams, according to the Maryland U.S. Attorney’s Office.
On March 30 Governor Larry Hogan signed an emergency notary Order allowing documents in Maryland to be signed remotely. This was an emergency order meant the help keep notaries and those people signing documents critical enough to require a notary. It’s unfortunately useless as issued.
It turns out there is life after the coronavirus. This past week in Laurel Maryland was really different. Governor Hogan issue an order halting non-essential businesses from operating. As a law firm, we are able to work, though mostly working remotely. Many routines have changed.
